📜 Section 170 – Register of Directors and KMP & Their Shareholding

🔹 (1) Maintenance of Register:

Every company shall maintain at its registered office a register containing details of:

Its directors and key managerial personnel (KMP), including:

Name

Date of appointment

Designation

Other prescribed particulars

This register must also contain details of securities held by them in the company or its holding, subsidiary, subsidiary of holding, or associate company.

🔹 (2) Filing with Registrar:

A return containing such particulars (as mentioned above) shall be filed with the Registrar (ROC) within 30 days of appointment or any change.
👉 This is done in Form DIR-12.

🔹 (3) Inspection of Register:

The register is open for inspection during business hours:

By members of the company, and

By any other person on payment of prescribed fees.
