As per the Companies Act, 2013, there is no Section 79 currently in force.
📌 Clarification:
Section 79 existed under the Companies Act, 1956, which dealt with "Issue of shares at a discount".
However, this provision has not been carried forward into the Companies Act, 2013.
Instead, Section 53 of the Companies Act, 2013 now deals with prohibition on issue of shares at a discount, and such issues are generally not allowed—except for sweat equity shares under Section 54.
