2. Trademarks

Eligibility  Signs capable of distinguishing goods or services of one enterprise from those of another.

Duration  10 years from the filing date, renewable indefinitely. 

Application Process Submit an application to the Bureau of Intellectual Property within the Office of Economic Affair.

3. Designs

Eligibility Aesthetic aspects of a product that are new and original. 

Duration  5 years from the filing date, extendable up to 25 year. 

Application Process  File an application with the Bureau of Intellectual Property.

4. Copyrights

Eligibility Original works of authorship, including literary, artistic, and musical work. 

Duration Life of the author plus 70 year. 

Registration  Not mandatory, but recommended for legal certainty.
