Paraguay's primary legal instrument for addressing cybercrime is Law No. 4.439/2011, which amends the Penal Code (Law No. 1.160/1997) to include specific provisions on computer-related offenses Key provisions include:

Paraguay enacted Ley 5.542/2016, the Personal Data Protection Law, which establishes guidelines for the collection, processing, and storage of personal dat. The law empowers the National Authority for the Protection of Personal Data to enforce compliance and impose penalties for violation.
