Justice Rajesh Bindal was born on April 16, 1961, in Haryana. He completed his B.Com from Punjab University, Chandigarh, and obtained his LL.B. from Kurukshetra University in 1985. He began his legal practice at the Punjab and Haryana High Court the same year and was elevated as a judge of that court in March 2006. Over his career, he has served as the Acting Chief Justice of the Jammu & Kashmir High Court and the Calcutta High Court, and later as Chief Justice of the Allahabad High Court before his elevation to the Supreme Court.
Justice Bindal is recognized for his deep involvement in judicial administration and for representing various committees and state bodies for over two decades before joining the bench.
