Text of IPC Section 447:
Criminal trespass
Whoever commits criminal trespass shall be punished with imprisonment of either description for a term which may extend to 3 months, or with fine which may extend to 500 rupees, or with both.
Explanation:
Criminal trespass means entering or remaining on someone else’s property without permission or lawful authority, intending to commit an offense, or to intimidate, insult, or annoy the person in possession.
This section penalizes unauthorized entry or presence on property.
