1. (1) This Act may be called the National Institutes of Technology, Science Education
and Research (Amendment) Act, 2017.
(2) It shall come into force on such date as the Central Government may, by notification
in the Official Gazette, appoint.
2. In the Second Schedule to the National Institutes of Technology, Science Education
and Research Act, 2007, after serial number 5 and the entries relating thereto, the following
serial numbers and entries shall be inserted, namely:—

‘‘6. Indian Institute of Science Indian Institute of Science
Education and Research, Education and Research,
Tirupati Society Tirupati.
