27. Retirement and other conditions of services.—The age of retirement and other conditions of
service of every officer, teacher or other employee of a corresponding University shall be such as may be
prescribed.
28. Provident fund.—Each corresponding University shall constitute gratuity and provident fund for
the benefit of its officers, teachers and other employees in such manner, and subject to such conditions, as
may be prescribed.
29. Appointment of salaried officers.—Subject to the provisions of this Act, the members of the
technical staff of a corresponding University shall be selected by the Head of the Department in
consultation with the members of the Department concerned, recommended by the Dean or the Director
of Research or the Director of Extension Education, as the case may be, and appointed by the
Vice-Chancellor with the approval of the Board.
30. Temporary arrangements.—The Vice-Chancellor may, until such time as the authorities of the
corresponding University are duly constituted, temporarily appoint any such officer of that University as
such University is authorised by this Act to appoint.
