ABSORBED AREAS (LAWS) ACT, 1954

STATEMENT OF OBJECTS AND REASONS ' "In thSetates of Bihar,
Bombay, Uttar Pradesh apply to these areas unless the Governor by
notification so directed. Accordingly a nufnber of Central which
were known as excluded or partially excluded laws did not operate
in these areas. As they haye areas before the commencement of
the Constitution been merged in the regularly administered areas of
a n d which after such commencement have been the State
concerned, it is considered necessary that amalgamated with the
regular districts of the States, all Central laws should operate
therein uniformly. Under S.92 of the Government of India Act, The
Bill seeks to achieve this purpose". - Gaz. of 1935, no Central or
