Constitutional Protections: Article 9 of the Constitution guarantees equality before the law, prohibiting discrimination based on sex, race, religion, or other grounds. 

Law on Equal Opportunities for Women and Men (2012): This legislation mandates that both central and local governments incorporate gender equality principles into their strategic plans and budgets, ensuring that policies and programs consider their impact on both women and men.
