Mississippi Constitution – Article 4: Legislative Department – Section 33

Here is the official text of Section 33 of Article 4 (Legislative Department) of the Mississippi Constitution:

Section 33. Privilege from arrest; freedom of speech.
Senators and Representatives shall, in all cases except treason, felony, or breach of the peace, be privileged from arrest during the session of the Legislature, and for fifteen days before the commencement and after the termination thereof.
They shall not be held liable in any other place for any speech or debate in either house.
