Role: Legal Associate

Location: Mumbai

Key Responsibilities

Contract Management: Draft, review, negotiate, and finalize contracts related to talent engagements, production deals, licensing, brand endorsements, media appearances, and intellectual property rights.

Legal Advisory: Identify and mitigate legal risks in contracts and provide clear, actionable legal guidance to internal teams.

Intellectual Property Rights (IPR): Provide legal support on copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property matters ensuring compliance with relevant laws.

Collaboration: Work closely with clients, production teams, talent, external counsel, and internal departments to ensure timely completion and closure of contracts and legal processes.

Legal Research: Stay updated on changes in entertainment law, intellectual property rights, and related legislation, and apply this knowledge to internal practices.

Due Diligence: Assist in due diligence processes, legal research, and various legal projects as required by the company.

Eligibility Criteria

Education: Law degree (LLB) from a recognized institution. Enrollment with the Bar Council of India is preferred.

Experience: Typically 1 to 2 years of legal experience, ideally in media, entertainment, and intellectual property law.

Skills Required:

Expertise in intellectual property rights including copyrights, trademarks, licensing, and distribution agreements.

Strong skills in legal drafting, negotiation, research, and writing.

Ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Genuine interest in the entertainment industry and understanding of its legal landscape.

Knowledge of regulatory frameworks governing media, entertainment, and IPR in India and internationally.
