About the Job
Mason & Associates Advocates is looking for an Associate with 1–2 years of PQE to join their Trademarks Team.
The role includes handling trademark filings, oppositions, renewals, hearings, and client advisory under Indian law and the Madrid Protocol. Strong drafting, research, and communication skills are essential.
Eligibility
LL.B. from a reputed law school.
1-2 years of PQE in Trademark Prosecution.
Strong command of trademark laws and related procedures in India.
Excellent legal drafting, research, and communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple matters independently and meet deadlines.
Exposure to IP management tools/software will be an added advantage.
Responsibilities
Handling trademark searches, filings, prosecutions, oppositions, and renewals.
Drafting both contentious and non-contentious legal documents and correspondence.
Coordinating with the Trademarks Registry and ensuring adherence to deadlines.
Attending show cause hearings before the Trademarks Registry.
Managing an independent portfolio of clients and advising on trademark strategy.
Should have knowledge of trademark procedure under Madrid Protocol.
