Florida Administrative Code 8 - DEPARTMENT OF COMMERCE

The Florida Administrative Code (FAC) Chapter 8 - Department of Commerce previously governed rules and regulations under the Florida Department of Commerce. However, this department was dissolved in the mid-1990s, and many of its functions were transferred to other agencies, particularly Enterprise Florida, the Department of Economic Opportunity (DEO) (now FloridaCommerce), and others.

Historical Context:

FAC Title 8 was originally used for economic development, workforce, trade, and related administrative rules.

After restructuring of Florida's executive branch, Title 8 became largely obsolete or reassigned.

The Florida Department of Commerce no longer exists as an active department.
